I just got put on accutane for my acne, will Aquaphor be a good creme for my dry skin?

Accutane will make your skin extremely dry. I need a good creme, what do you suggest? My doctor says aquaphor. Answers from people who used accutane or have experience with accutane please.

2. did u check the long term and other serious side effects of accutane?....if u did then i dont think the dry skin is the only problem u need to worry about... i threw 2 boxes of accutane in the trash after seeing people with side effects. btw have u taken a written guarantee from any doctor or the makers of accutane that the acne wont come back and ur result will be permenant?.... no one can guarantee u that so why take a risk with ur health?...its not like money that if u lose it , it will come back tomorow!...once u lose ur health and fall prey to the side effects ...ur health is gone forever! good health is the greatest gift in this life, cherish it.

I have the werdest crap above my lip when i go one day with out Aquaphor it gets really red and i have a horizontal cut across the skin area between my mouth and nose yeaterday i went to school and forgot my aquaphor at home and my lip started acting up i put aquaphor on it to sooth it and in 1 -2 days the redness and cut dissapers unfortunatly it hasnt gone away yet and picture day is tommarow but ill take retakes later anyways i tried evry thing b4 chapstick (didnt work) to a perscripton from my doctor (which burned) aquahor works but when i go with out it the dry crakness comes back so you have to make sure you use it every day about 3-4 times a day as a matter of fact im going to the dermatologist for my lip on thursday so maybe he can give me something that i can take once a day or once a week or something because like i said one day with out it and the red craked dryness comes back if he gives me somethin for dryness or craked i will sure tell you but for now eucerin aquaphor is your best bet ok so i went to the dermatologist today and he perscribed crack cream literally its clalled crack cream i havent used it yet but...

Hi, i was on accutane about a month ago. i used aveeno lotion and it seemed to really help but... the side effects are almost not worth the pain of calling and taking the monthly tests and filling prescriptions. At first my skin got worse then within 2 months it was perfect not one blemish or breakout or anything but then i started experiencing severely dry skin in my nose it would bleed upto 3 times daily because the medicine was so drying. I started to put vaseline in my nose before i went to bed everynite and that seemed to help. My lips were also SOOOOOO chapped it hurt so bad i suggest and organic chapstick it has all natural ingredients in it so it worked much better. also try like once a week to put baby oil all over your skin after a shower so your skin stays moisturized. Hope this helps, you will have beautiful sking just ALOT of upkeep on the havoc it does to the rest of your body!!
