- Stretchmarks are hereditary anyway, but I think strivectin is rather potent. Try Mustela 9 Months to minimize stretch marks. If your mom had them, then you probably will to, but use a product geared toward pregnant women if you are nervous. It should day on the label anyway.
- i think its due to stretching of ligaments which happens during pregnancy and if u don't get stretch marks u r lucky, all u can do is apply olive oil or vitamin E oil just to be on safe side instead of some stretch mark cream and avoid itching on belly.
- try cocoa butter, it will reduce the marks you have now and stop more from coming.
- First girl that answered is right....stretch marks are hereditary. But I am six months pregnant, and I just use regular lotion faitfully. Everyday when I get out of the shower I put it everywhere I don't want stretch marks. I don't know that it works for everyone, but that is what I did with my first pregnancy and I didn't see one stretch mark and like I said I am still in the midths of trying it with this one. You could could also try Vitamin-B oil. I have heard that works very well also.
