What computers can I leave unattended being broadcasted round the world just playing music?

When I say unattended I mean left in a studio. This is for a worldwide established radio station. There will be no one in front of the computer in case anything did go wrong. When I say playing music it will be off an iTunes playlist. The playlist could be up to 200 hours long. I need it to be left unattended for a maximum of 72 hours. Just playing music. It will be broadcast all around the world. Lots of people will listen. Also it can't freeze or crash. It can't get overheated in other words: Left on 24/7 just playing music off iTunes. Thousands of people will be listening. There is NO way it can crash or get overheated.

  1. Very funny. There is a high probability that iTunes will be glad you posted, and your claim will not be tested by its. Although if you have already been providing riffs or tunes for the copy people of the posers that copy the posers that rendered the covers of the melodies by the guys in their basements trying to get some down-time on the copy of the instrument that you decided is better than the copy of the copy instrument that the tone deaf poser that you heard while you were driving to the store where someone got in your face and asked if they are your long lost half-brother, because you remind them of a picture they found in the attic of the house they claim is where their grandmother grew up, then I'd be glad to assemble a licensed engineer and technician team that has a 100% track record to build the computer that would be the patent for the computer you describe, before the computer people steer you to one that might wear out at some time when you and your every aquaintance are no longer here.
  2. Any machine with enough storage space for your music and I'd suggest having a dedicated machine for this. You may want a UPS incase of power outages unless the studio has a backup generator but almost any computer will be suitable. I would reccomend windows xp though as it is the most stable OS from microsoft at this point. My computer runs 24/7/365 for the last 3 years with no problems If you are worried about overheating install a couple more fans although it should not be an issue. Another suggestion would be to install a remote desktop server such as remote administrator or in xp pro use remote destkop this way if anything were to go wrong or if you wanted you could access the computer via the internet to check on it to make sure all is going well. Good Luck Hope this helps
