Why do women sometimes smell of orange peel? I've never had anyone know what i'm talking about here, but every woman ive known for long enough has at some point smelled of oranges or orange peel. The smell is kinda like what you'd get if you left a bunch of orange peels in a bag for a few days. It's not perfume. It's a distinct smell which is always the same no matter who I smell it from, and it's in their breath and sweat and on the surface of the skin when it's present. I only smell it for a few hours at a time, about once a month or so which led me to believe it's some sort of pheromone linked to the menstrual cycle, perhaps? I've smelled it on women at various times for as long as I can remember and i've never ever found an answer for what it is. If anyone knows anything about this, then please tell me, otherwise I can only conclude that I can smell a pheromone that noone else can.....? btw I know for a fact it isn't perfume or any other sort of artificial fragrance. It's also not linked to having eaten oranges. To clarify, it's certainly not a bad thing, I'm not complaining in any way. It's not a good thing either, it's just a thing that's there which I have no explanation for. Orange peel under my fingernail!!? I was peeling an orange for breakfast and the skin of it was really thick. As I was peeling, I got a sharp pain in the tip of my ring finger on my right hand. Orange peel and scratches all over new 06 Dodge Durango? O.k. I'm having a problem and a hard time understanding how it is that a brand 2006 Dodge Durango (black) that I just picked up 2 wks. ago has a paint job that is bumpy kind of wavey looking and when the sun hits it there are scratches from front to back of the truck. The scratches in the paint almost have a swirled effect. The dealer applied teflon on it, wheeled it out, but the scratches are still there. The head of the body shop said it is "orange peel", however I do not understand what could of caused the scratches which are under the clear coat? If it was a "bad wheel" job wouldn't be over the clear coat? Anyhow they say that a Chrysler Rep. would have to o.k. them to repaint the truck...and they said they absolutely cannot give us a new truck because the sale/lease and vin. # has already been reported to Chrysler. What exactly is orange peel and what could of caused the scratches under the clear coat?

I just leased (2 weeks ago) a 2006 Dodge Durango, however I noticed when the sun hit it that the entire truck front to back is covered in scratches, which look to be swirled scratches and also a silver looking swirling on the doors and front corner panels. I took it back to the dealer the day after I picked it up and they insisted it was just a "bad wheel job". They applied a teflon coating and wheeled the truck out again. Yet, the swirled scratches are still all over the truck. I again had the truck up there and the head of the body shop said it is "orange peel". I don't know what to do, as I do not feel that I should have to pay 289.00 a month for a "new" truck that has a crap paint job. They say they will contact Chrysler to see what they want to do. Any suggestions, any at all. I'm so disappointed and frustrated. What causes orange peel, I've been told they do it to cars that are meant to custom painted?
What did the orange peel scent mean? About 25 years ago I was sitting in the living room watching tv with my then wife. We lived in the sticks. No neighbors for miles. My 3 year old daughter was sleeping in the adjacent bedroom. I began to smell orange peel. I turned and asked my wife if she smelled it. She said no at first then yes. About a minute later my daughter woke screaming and crying. I went to see about her and picked her up to comfort her and she said there was a man in her room with a candle. Next day I picked up a book on ghost and there was a chapter on ghosts scents. Orange peel was listed. Do you believe it was a ghost? If so, what did the orange peel scent mean about this particular presence.

Orange Peel Paper Cut?? Ok so I'm a total dork: you know those NASTY paper cuts you can occasionally get, underneath your fingernail? I was just peeling my afternoon snack: a healthy, delicious, seedless orange. My hand slipped while I was peeling, and the side of my thumbnail bent back and the ORANGE RIND GAVE ME A PAPER CUT UNDER MY THUMBNAIL!!
